APS5 Policy Officer

This role is responsible for:

  • Collating and analysing information to present evidence-based policy advice for future enhancements to the My Aged Care system.
  • Participating in the prioritisation of current client access policy issues.
  • Contributing to co-design sessions to unpack policy issues.
  • Supporting the development of effective, evidence-based policy strategies.
  • Provide assistance to support ad hoc requests to the Section as required.

We are looking for a self-motivated, organised applicant who is able to demonstrate the following capabilities:

  • Policy experience, attention to detail, problem solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Ability to critically analyse issues and communicate complex issues simply and creatively.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to hold and maintain a minimum of a Baseline security clearance.
