Civil Estimator

Up to $150k remuneration package

Our client is a leading full service, multi-disciplined civil contracting company which has been delivering outstanding project outcomes for over 20 years.

Due to the continued growth of the company a rare opportunity is now available for an outstanding Civil Estimator to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a motivated group of professionals, working on major land development projects across the eastern seaboard.

Duties include:

  • Reviewing tender documents for scope of works, contract requirements, form of tender and alternative design options;
  • Ensuring estimates are completed on time and in accordance with the required technical standards;
  • Overseeing and assisting in the preparation, checking and measuring of schedules or bills of quantities;
  • Assessing the risks and opportunities in the construction of projects;
  • Maintenance of records of all tender correspondence, calculations, and envisaged methodologies;
  • Participating in post tender negotiations;
  • Obtaining quotes from subcontractors and prepare cost estimates using estimating software;
  • Providing input into improving policies and systems for the estimating of tenders and proposals;
  • Assessing the risks and opportunities in the construction of the project;
  • Assisting Project Managers with cost to complete estimates.

We’re looking for an exceptional person – with high levels of emotional intelligence, who can work to exacting technical specifications with tight timeframes, with significant experience in the field and formal qualifications in civil or structural engineering. You will also have experience using estimating software such as Benchmark.
