Kowalski Recruitment (KR) is seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated data analytics professional, with excellent people skills to place in GRDC and become an integral part of a highly effective team.  While you will be employed by KR you will get to work directly to the Senior Manager, Enabling Technologies, to develop sound business cases for enabling technologies investments and ensuring effective, efficient and compliant contract management that aligns with the business’ vision and purpose.  Whether you are looking to further your career or break into the Grains industry this is an unprecedented opportunity for you to do so.

What we’re looking for:

  • An individual with a post-graduate degree in a quantitative field (e.g. data science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, Information Systems);
  • Demonstrated experience (5+ years’ desirable) in project management and the negotiation and management of contracts in a related discipline (data/computer science, information technology);
  • A developed understanding of advanced analytical techniques (i.e. statistics; machine learning);
  • Strong analytical skills and the capacity to leverage off external expertise and think strategically, including the ability to provide sound project and issue advice;
  • Experience with data governance and management frameworks (including quality control, reporting and warehousing);
  • Demonstrated ability to develop - investment cases, based on return to stakeholders;
  • Proven understanding of commercial business principles;
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders;
  • Ability to synthesise information and provide summaries and recommend options;
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuously up-date skills and knowledge.

You will need to be an Australian citizen and prepared to travel as and when required.  Experience in agriculture is desirable but not essential.
