  • Three-year renewable contract;
  • Remuneration approx. $113,000 - $138,000 plus super, according to experience;
  • Located in Adelaide or Canberra.

The opportunity

Our client, the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC), is committed to creating enduring profitability for Australian grain growers is seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated Manager, Research Platforms, with excellent leadership capabilities, and formal qualifications in science, agricultural science, engineering or spatial science, to become an integral part of a highly effective team.

You will be reporting to the Senior Manager, Enabling Technologies, with responsibility to develop sound business cases for enabling technologies, investments and ensuring effective, efficient and compliant contract management that aligns with the business’ vision and purpose.

What we’re looking for:

  • 5 years previous experience in of related industry experience, which may include research, plant breeding, life science or spatial science businesses;
  • Demonstrated experience in project management;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop - investment cases, based on return to stakeholders;
  • Proven understanding of commercial business principles;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders;
  • Ability to synthesise information and provide summaries and recommend options;
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuously up-date skills and knowledge.

You will need to be an Australian citizen and prepared to travel interstate as and when required.
