The opportunity:

Indigenous Marathon Foundation (IMF) is a high-profile health promotion charity, founded by champion marathon runner Robert de Castella, with a mission of using the marathon as a vehicle to promote active and healthy lifestyles for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and to celebrate Indigenous resilience and achievement.

Kowalski Recruitment is recruiting a key position within the administrative arm of IMF, which reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer, and supports the broader team across a range of programs and functions.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Day-to-day front of house operations including answering phones, managing the company inbox and directing requests as appropriate;
  • Filing and mailing duties;
  • Assisting the Finance Team with expense management, reconciliations and data entry into MYOB;
  • Manage merchandise ordering along with the storage and management of current inventory and postage of merchandise orders each week;
  • Note-taking for major meetings and following up on action items from each meeting;
  • Booking executive travel and accommodation;
  • Maintaining a register of all current grants and deadlines for reporting and acquittals;
  • Supporting the fundraising team in major event bookings and delivery; and
  • Other duties as required.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working in a similar position;
  • Experience entering data into MYOB;
  • Outstanding attention to detail;
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills;
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills;
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft office – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint;
  • Strong diary management and multi-tasking skills;
  • Be a reliable, motivated individual with a positive energy;
  • Interest in Indigenous culture, community engagement, health and wellbeing;
  • Be proactive, outgoing, engaging and a team player.

This exciting position is full-time hours, based in the ACT. You will be rewarded with a salary in the range of $45,000 - $50,000 p.a. + 9.5% super + FBT allowance (up to $10,000 benefit) according to experience.
