Community Involvement

We have always endeavoured to support causes that are dear to us, and it has always been of paramount importance to do whatever we can to make a tangible difference to the community, and specifically to those in need. More often than not, this entails more than just making monetary donations. We sit on a number of fundraising and charitable boards and committees; we run our own fundraising events; and we regularly reach out to our business partners and various networks to support particular causes.

We are particularly proud of several of our contributions:

  • Kowalski Recruitment was the inaugural sponsor of the Cancer Council's ACT "Relay For Life" event;
  • Kowalski Recruitment responded to a public call for help from CanTEEN who didn't have a meeting place for their teen members suffering from Cancer. We were able to provide a purpose-made space for over four years;
  • Kowalski Recruitment was the inaugural sponsor of the Chequered Ribbon Association, providing support for police officers and their families killed in the line of duty;
  • Kowalski Recruitment was the inaugural sponsor ot the Canberra Junior and Women's Cycling Tour;
  • Kowalski Recruitment was the inaugural HR partner of the ACT Brumbies, and remains the longest serving sponsor in the Brumbies' history (2002-2012).

Kowalski Recruitment is a major sponsor of:

- The Snowy Hydro SouthCare Rescue Helicopter Service; and

- The Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA).

Kowalski Recruitment also supports learning and professional development programs within the community, including the Canberra Institute of Technology, the Australian National University and the University of Canberra. Anne Kowalski is a board member of the University of Canberra College, and provides input into course criteria, and structures, and also provides advice on recruitment and employment market trends.
